Why did you choose this career/study program?

  I chose to study social work because I have always been interested in the social sciences, especially as in this area it could generate a change both in society and in people. So when I applied to college my options were Social Work, Psychology and Sociology. A week before applying, I was still wondering whether to put Social Work or Psychology first, but thanks to my couple I discovered that I wanted to study social work. When I was a child I wanted to be a veterinarian, because I love pets, but over time I discovered that I did not have much affinity with biology, but with history, so I put the idea aside. My experience at the university has been super pleasant in terms of virtuality, it has also been difficult for me, since being from the region I have not been able to participate in any face-to-face activity that has been done.   I am Montserrat Amigo, I was born on October 27, 2002, in Santiago, Chile. In elementary school I studied at the Santa Familia school, until the fourth grade, from the fifth grade I moved to La Serena and studied until the second year of high school at the Geronimo Rendic school, the last two years I studied at El Colegio Sagrados corazones de la Serena, I am currently studying the first year of social work at the University of Chile. My family consists of my two parents, my older brother and my two younger sisters. We are a family that spends a lot of time together, we just go for a walk to the beach, the river, go to lunch at a restaurant, watch movies or play board games. One of my hobbies is painting, especially with lots of light colors. Another thing I enjoy doing is lying in the sun to read, I like to read everything, I don't have a preference.
